Healthcare in 3D Terms and Phrases

Centering
Positioning the cube at the network entity and level being analyzed. Conceptually one can think of the cube traversing (sliding) up or down the network hierarchy.
Patient Centering
Positioning the cube at the patient level. Specifically the inflection point where the provider action is decided. At this lowest level, centering is on this single point along a patient’s care path.
Population Centering
Positioning the cube at the population level. At this level centering is around the actions for all patients (or a subset thereof). Visually in the Cube this would appear as an irregular polyhedron, for simplification a sphere is be used.
Provider Centering
Positioning the cube at the provider Level. At this level centering is around the provider actions for multiple patients (provider's population or a subset thereof). Visually in the cube this would appear as an irregular polyhedron, for simplification a sphere is used.
